Sending discount coupons is a marketing strategy that uses consumers’ interest in saving money when making purchases.

Offering your products to consumers at a lower-than-usual price can significantly influence customer loyalty and satisfaction.

How do I generate unique discount coupons in an e-shop?

How Do I Set up Discount Coupons?

First, it is necessary to generate discount coupons in your e-shop. Most platforms allow you to either set up a universal coupon that all customers will use, or generate unique coupons where each customer receives their own code. In the section “How do I generate unique coupons in an e-shop?” you will find guides for individual e-commerce platforms. Once the coupons are generated, Incomaker will automatically download them, so you do not need to import them manually anywhere.

How Do I Insert a Discount Coupon into an Email Template?

Universal coupon: you simply write the coupon text into the template.

Unique coupon: in the editor, in the text block, place your cursor where you want to insert the coupon, and in the text editor select the option “Insert coupon.”

A dialog window with a list of discount coupons will open. You can choose to either send the customer a newly generated coupon or resend the one they received last time. The second option is useful, for example, in a scenario where you send customers discount coupons and then, a week later, send a reminder to those who have not used it. You select which coupon you want to use and click “Insert coupon.” The number next to the coupon indicates how many coupons have not yet been used (sent to customers).

An email variable is inserted into the template, which will be replaced with a unique coupon when the email is sent.

Once the generated coupons are running low, we will send you an email notification to let you know that new ones need to be generated.

Can I Send Multiple Different Discount Codes in one Email?

Yes, you can – the process is the same as in the previous steps.
