In today’s globally connected world, it can be essential for your company to send out content in different languages. However, preparing individual campaigns in different languages can take a lot of time. Fortunately, multilingual campaigns can be set up in Incomaker. You can set up as many language versions as you like, and customers will then receive a version based on the language they have filled out in their contact card. If a customer has no language filled in, they will be sent the language version based on the language you have set up in Incomaker. If you have an e-shop or contact feed connected to Incomaker, you don’t have to deal with the languages, they are taken over automatically.
If you want to use multilingual campaigns and you import contacts into Incomaker manually, you need to make sure that there are languages next to the contacts.
Creating a multilingual campaign
Multilingual campaigns can be set up for email campaigns, popups, landing pages and forms. In the tutorial we’ll demonstrate this on an email campaign, but it’s set up exactly the same in all campaigns. You can use two approaches: either you prepare all language versions directly when you create the campaign, or you create templates for all languages in advance and then just insert them into the campaign.
Create them directly in the campaign
You start the campaign as usual and build a template for one language version in the editor. Once you have it ready, click on the Add Language button.

A dialog box opens where you search for the language, select it, and click Add.

A copy of the Czech template is created and you edit the text and links into the desired language and complete the campaign as standard.
Preparing templates in advance
You can prepare templates in advance (Templates tab) and then just insert them into the campaign. After the previous step, you follow the same procedure, but instead of translating the template, you click the Change Template button, select the appropriate language version in the window that opens and confirm with the Confirm button.

Editing language versionsThe language version of the template you are editing can be identified by its orange color. If you want to edit the content of the template directly, just switch to that language version, make the changes in the template and then complete the campaign.
For example, if you clicked when you were setting up a language version and you want Polish instead of Czech, click the menu next to the language version and click Edit to open the language selection again.

Deleting language versions
You can delete language versions that you are not currently editing, i.e. the ones underlined in blue. Select Delete and confirm.
